INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD
DIGNITY RESTORED: 200 Girls Empowered at Wasa IDP Camp, Abuja
The Pad-A-Girl Campaign at Wasa IDP Camp has achieved a resounding success, proving that collective action can restore dignity and unlock potential!
In one powerful day, 200 young women in the camp were equipped with washable, reusable sanitary pads. This life-changing support was made possible by the incredible partnership and generous discount provided by @padup_creations.
We ensured this support was sustainable by not only providing pads but also essential soaps for their long-term cleaning and care.
More than just providing materials, the campaign provided knowledge. Through education sessions and flyers delivered entirely in the Hausa language, the girls received vital information on puberty and comprehensive menstrual hygiene. We armed them with the tools and the confidence to manage their periods safely and with pride.
Our deepest gratitude goes out to every selfless volunteer and dedicated team member who made this possible, and to you, our generous donors, whose kindness fuels this movement.
This is the spirit of empowerment in action. Join us as we continue to invest in the health, education, and unstoppable potential of every girl!
